Chicago Harbor Lock

This 600-foot long, 80-foot wide lock chamber is one of the busiest in the nation and can accommodate up to 100 vessels at once. The Chicago Harbor Lock separates the Chicago River from Lake Michigan, which you’ll pass by on our River Tour.

Wells Street Bridge

This historic, double-leaf, double-decked bascule bridge crosses the Chicago River and can be viewed on our River tour. You’ll see pedestrian and bicycle traffic on the lower level and the Chicago Transit Authority on the upper level. Built in 1922, The Wells Street Bridge spans 345 ft with a width of 72 ft.

Marina City

The iconic round buildings that make up Marina City are a Chicago landmark from architect Bertrand Goldberg and can even be seen on Wilco’s album cover “Corn Cobs”. It consists of two residential towers, a theater, office building, and parking for boats and cars, and was built with the intent to bring middle-class Chicagoans back to the city.

Willis Tower

This giant, 110-story skyscraper was the tallest building in the world upon its completion in 1973. Visitors flock to its famous skydeck, which is the highest observation deck in the U.S., and the all-glass balconies allow the deck’s visitors to see the streets below their feet.

Merchandise Mart

Situated on the Chicago River sits this steel-framed, 4 million square foot building which was completed in 1930. Similar to other Art Deco buildings in the city, the architecture style of Merchandise Mart reflected the optimism of the 1920s. Clad in limestone, bronze, and terra cotta and with rows of decorative chevrons and diagonal towers, this architectural landmark is a must-see.
